Helping You Make Big Career Moves

Executive Coaching and Job Support Services

The average person will spend one-third of their life at work (and for many of us, far more!). That’s too much time not to love the work you’re doing. And I know that you want to love your work — and get paid well, too.

Carrington Talent Group will help you make the change you are seeking in your career. Truly seeing people and connecting them with the right coach to grow their career is my superpower.

Which Sounds the Most Like You?

  • “I’m ready to switch companies or maybe even careers, but the job market is scary right now. I need some help on where to look, what is realistic, and how to stand out.”

Don’t burn yourself out making a role or industry pivot by yourself. Your career is too important not to get expert assistance. This service blends coaching and consulting, offering a tailored mix of career exploration, resume revisions, job search strategy, intentional networking strategy, cover letter support, and expert interview prep to help you find and land your next exciting opportunity.

We offer 3, 6 and 12 hour packages, designed around your goals and needs.

  • “I feel so unfulfilled at work. I don’t know if I want to switch careers, but I know what I’m doing isn’t a fit.”

Uncover what’s making you feel misaligned at work through thought-provoking coaching that makes space for introspection. You’ll examine how a potential misalignment of your values, passions, and strengths could be keeping you unhappy in your current role, and we’ll guide you toward loving your work again, whether it’s staying in your current company or making a move to a new chapter.

We offer 6, 10 and 15 session packages to meet your goals.

  • “I want to stay at my company and know that I can continue to advance in my career. I want to position myself for a promotion and be successful once I achieve it.”

Step into your full potential as a manager or leader within your organization. Your coach will help you become a more effective leader, navigate complex relationships with colleagues, and bolster your team’s success. This service can typically be paid for by your employer, and we can help you navigate that conversation, too.

We offer 6, 10 and 15 session packages to meet your goals.

Jon Davis, Founder, Circles Community

“Catherine is an extraordinary career coach, consultant, and expert in her profession. It is rare I come across someone who has the blend of invaluable industry expertise and the coaching/advisory ability to unlock someone's true potential. Catherine did this for me.”

The Coaching Process

We offer tailored support for talented and motivated executives ready to transform their careers.

You may be feeling stuck or unhappy at work (or between jobs), and realize DIYing things hasn’t been as effective as you thought it would be. I’ll match you with myself or a coach that matches their expertise and your needs, and you will be feeling successful again before you know it.

We can help you gain increased personal clarity, make a role or industry pivot, find the next great opportunity, or elevate your skills so you’re the obvious choice for that big promotion.

  • We’ll meet for a consultation so I can learn about you, your unique career goals, and hear more about where you need support. I’ll make customized recommendations on how we can help, provide clarity on timing and pricing, and answer all of your questions.

  • I’ll match you with one of the incredible executive coaches in my network, depending on the career support or advice you need. Pairing you with the right coach is an art, and one I’ve spent more than 20 years honing.

  • You and your coach will set objectives and get to work, keeping tabs on your progress along the way. And, we’ll be there to celebrate alongside you when you land that dream job or when the fog hanging over your current situation finally lifts!

Brian Peabody, Vice President, Tom's of Maine

“I was happy that your process involved getting to know me, what moves me, where I want to go with my life, and ensuring that the brand expressed by my resume/LinkedIn is working in concert with my goals. I think this is a huge difference from simply having updated my resume to get a new job and was well worth the money!”

Meet Catherine Carrington

In my 15 years at Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), I helped 8,000 alumni from many different industries and career stages access coaching and professional development opportunities to advance in their careers.

I coached well over 1,000 of those rising executives myself, and matched hundreds of them with other coaches. So, I can confidently say that, when it comes to navigating big career moves and challenges, I’ve seen it all (well, almost). This is how I know I can pair you with the right coach and interventions for your career path.

Utilizing my own recruiting and matching skill set, along with my network of powerhouse executive coaches, my team and I will help you navigate your next job application, industry pivot, salary negotiation, or leadership development plan with expertise and empathy.

I Love How Curious You Are

  • I spent 15 years doing this for MLT, one of the best coaching organizations in the world, so trust me when I say that matching you with a coach specialized in whatever career transition you’re navigating is one of my top skills! I’ll get to know you on a deeper level than simply “I’m not happy at work,” before matching you with a coach who I know and trust and who is an expert in the area you need support. I’m proud of my nearly 100% success rate of matching clients and coaches.

  • Absolutely! Many companies now offer a coaching budget as a benefit, and others will allow you to use your professional development budget to pay for coaching. And, we’ve helped plenty of our clients figure out a way to ask their companies to pay for a portion of — or all — of the coaching fees.

  • First and foremost, you can expect to be matched with a coach who understands your unique career challenges and has expertise to help you work through them. You can also expect active listening and accountability; positive, forward-thinking questions that guide you toward solutions that make sense for you; and broad discussions that take your evolving life choices (not just today’s problems) into consideration. You’ll also get a customized call schedule, and email correspondence between sessions.

  • Depending on your needs, executive coaching can last a few months, or become a long-term engagement. If you are working on something more tactical, like a new resume or interview prep, that can last just a few hours.

  • The cost of coaching is highly variable, depending on the type of support you need. Our rates are competitive in the coaching and job support marketplace, and we offer a number of pricing tiers to match your budget. We also offer payment plans for those who would benefit from support but may have constraints around payment in the near term.

  • Luckily, this doesn’t happen often. But if you feel the coach isn’t your person, we’ll work with you to understand what was misaligned and are happy to reassign a new coach at no extra charge.

Mohamed Mellaouch, Engineer, The Boeing Company

“I didn’t know the first thing about how to translate the skills I had developed working in government to the corporate recruitment process. Catherine not only helped me build my confidence (to even apply), but also reworked my resume and prepped me for the interviews. I got not one but two corporate job offers that came with a huge salary bump.”

We’ll Lift, You Climb

Ascending the corporate — or nonprofit — ladder is exhausting work. But who says you have to do it alone?

A helping hand up from a Carrington Talent Group coach will make your climb easier, faster, and probably even more profitable.
